Winners of the 2010 Drama Desk Awards were announced on May 23 at LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center.
The Broadway musical Memphis was the big winner of the night, taking home four trophies in the following categories: Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Actress in a Musical for Montego Glover (who tied with A Little Night Music's Catherine Zeta-Jones, a repeat of the Outer Critics Circle Awards), Best Music for David Bryan and Outstanding Orchestrations for Bryan and Daryl Waters.
Three other popular shows had three wins each: Red (which was named best play), Fences (which shared the play revival win with A View from the Bridge) and La Cage aux Folles (winner of Outstanding Revival of a Musical).
Broadway diva Patti LuPone hosted the event.
